AMANDA LEIGH WAKUT, Age 33, passed away unexpectedly June 21, 2026. Loving mother of Landyn Moran; cherished daughter of Irene Wakut; beloved sister of Lyla Wakut (Angel Sida); aunt of Alejandro Sida; niece, cousin and dear friend of many. Amanda was a professional body builder and power lifter. She owned and operated Full Send Power Lifting and expanded her creative talents into other side businesses.
Amanda grew up in Cleveland, playing sports throughout childhood. She became a rising basketball star while attending Normandy High School, even being featured in newspaper articles for her athletic abilities. She continued to play basketball at Norwood University while studying business administration. She pursued culinary education in Miami, Florida and had a deep passion for animals and spent time as a veterinary technician.
After her son was born, she combined her health and wellness knowledge. She became a personal trainer, working out of her basement and then other gyms before finding her home at Old School Iron Gym. She then found a new passion for heavy weight lifting which turned into professional power lifting and starting her own business. Her emotional strength was equal to her physical strength. She was resilient, determined and dedicated to showing up for her family, friends and clients alike.
Her sense of humor was one of a kind. She had a special way of using humor to lighten the mood and make others laugh along the way.
She was a devoted mother to her son. He was her whole world. She wanted to be an example to him for what it takes to succeed. She was looking forward to one day being his personal trainer and often took him to the gym with her.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Landyn’s name to the family. Mass of Christian burial at St. Leo the Great Church, 4940 Broadview Rd., Brooklyn, Monday June 29, 2026 at 10 a.m. Please meet at church. Interment Brooklyn Heights Cemetery.
