Angela Carro

Born in Roseto Valfortore, Italy on March 6, 1926, Angela Carro was the quintessential Italian mama. She was a loving mother of three who loved to laugh and enjoy life.

At 25, Angela married musician Anthony Carro and moved from Roseto to Cleveland to join him in a new life in America. Angela quickly became a proud Clevelander and a busy mother of two daughters, Marie and Lina, and her beloved son, Anthony Jr.

A gifted craftswoman and a passionate cook with a green thumb, Angela made everything herself from handmade pasta to freshly baked bread. She loved arts and crafts and created elaborate needlecraft works. Both she and her husband passed on the customs and culture of Italian heritage to their children for which they are forever grateful.

After the children were grown and her husband passed away in 1984, Angela began yet another new life for herself, this time with a family of dear friends at the Senior Center now at Westside Community House. She treasured their friendships throughout her later life. The sound of Angela’s quick laughter will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Preceding her in death were her loving husband, Anthony and her loving son, Anthony, Jr. Angela is survived by her loving daughters, Marie Donner (Garfield) and Lina Carro (Don Wattenbarger). She will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery in Brook Park, Ohio with a graveside service on April 25, 2025 at 1:45 pm. All who wish to pay their respects are welcome.
