Ann Marie Bruno, age 89, of Parma, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of Gino (deceased), with whom she shared 64 years of marriage. Loving mother of Lisa Platten, Jean (Robert) Wells, and Michelle (Vince) Konopka. Cherished grandmother of Ryan (Sarah) Platten, Jonathan (Natalie) Platten, Timothy Platten, Jacob (Natalie) Konopka, Katie Konopka, Aidan Wells, Madelyn Wells (Niko, fiancé), and Olivia Wells. Proud great‑grandmother of Mason, Evie, Nora, and Callahan. Dear sister of William Zerial and mother‑in‑law of Timothy Platten.

Ann was the daughter of the late William and Ann Zerial, and the sister‑in‑law of the late Maria (Tito) Vergilii and Eleanor (Bob) Pilck.

Born in Cleveland, Ann grew up in Euclid, spending her summers roller‑skating and enjoying the magic of Euclid Beach Park. She worked as a county preschool teacher and later embraced her role as a stay‑at‑home mother, supporting every interest and activity her daughters pursued. She later returned to the classroom as a substitute teacher at Holy Family and St. Charles. Ann was a longtime member of Duca Degli Abruzzi Lodge 217/KSKJ Life Lodge.

Ann embraced life and the people around her. She loved exercise, bowling, and playing chair volleyball with friends at the YMCA. She looked forward to outings with the Donna Smallwood Activity Center—especially casino day trips. Known affectionately as a “Lucky Lady,” Ann always seemed to win door prizes and raffle baskets wherever she went. Her love for the arts and Broadway musicals inspired her to volunteer as a “Red Coat” at Playhouse Square for 10 years. In retirement, she and Gino enjoyed traveling overseas, and she held a special fondness for Slovenia, where she met many extended family members.

Ann will be remembered for her deep love of family, her warm and welcoming presence, and the joy she found in simple moments shared with the people she cherished.

Her family extends heartfelt gratitude to Holy Family Home for the compassionate care and support provided in her final hours. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Holy Family Health Care and Hospice at https://staugministries.org/ways-to-give/ or by mail to Holy Family Hospice 6707 State Rd, Parma, OH 44134.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Bridget of Kildare Parish, 5620 Hauserman Road, Parma, on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at 10 a.m. A private interment will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at a later date.

Family and friends will be received at Ripepi Funeral Home, 5762 Pearl Road (at Snow), on Friday, October 23, 2026, from 4–7 p.m.
