Anthony “Butchie” LaPerna

Anthony LaPerna, age 92, of Seven Hills, Ohio, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2023.  He was a devoted father, a loving, loyal husband, a cherished grandfather and a member of IBEW local 38 for 72 years.

Anthony found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly his passion for golf, where he spent countless hours on the green. His love for the game was only surpassed by the deep affection he held for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought him immeasurable happiness and joy.

A proud resident of Seven Hills, Anthony was a lifelong supporter of all Cleveland sports.

Anthony also found great pleasure in the art of cooking. His kitchen was a place of warmth and love, where he delighted in preparing meals for his loved ones. His culinary skills were matched only by his commitment to caring for his wife until his last days, a testament to the enduring strength of their love.

Anthony’s legacy is one of love, family, and a life well-lived. He will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He is survived by his “bride” of 68 years Evelyn (nee Contrera), his children: Maria, ( Richard), Mark, Michael, Anthony Jr, and Joseph along with his five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Dr. Dubey and his staff,  wonderful neighbors John and Karen Keiffer, and Greenfield Estates for all their love kindness and support.

Cremation has taken place and a private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
