BARBARA J. HARTMAN, (nee Pothorski), age 84; beloved wife of the late Emil; loving mother of Debbie Giaimo ( Giuseppe) and Lynn Hartman; devoted grandmother of Heather (our angel), Brittany Fay (Kyle), Hannah Bell (finance’ Tyler), Angelo Giaimo, Jeffrey Oblisk (Kim), Justin Oblisk and Nick Oblisk (Hannah); great-grandmother of Isabella, Landon, Paxton, Peyton, Josephine and Ava; sister of John Pothorski (deceased) (Betty), Ron Pothorski (Beverly), Bob Pothorski (deceased) and Patti Pothorski (deceased).  Barbara graduated from the Ohio School for the Deaf and she was very involved in the Deaf community in which she had many friends that will miss her dearly. A longtime employee of the USPS in Akron and Queen Mother of the Red Hat Ladies for many years. She was the best cook, especially roast beef and gravy, and made 15 – 20 different Christmas cookies up until she was 80 years old.  Barbara hosted family gatherings for the holidays which included beautiful decorations and lavish dinners.  She was kind, beautiful, forgiving, hard-working and had a great sense of humor, even up to her last days. A heartfelt thank you goes out to the Akron General seventh floor nursing staff for their excellent care and to the Cleveland Clinic interpreting staff for their stellar interpreting services.  All Services will be held Private.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
