BARBARA A. MAYES (nee Welling), age 79, of Berea, passed away suddenly on Sunday, July 2, 2023.  Beloved wife of Carl “Duke” Mayes for 58 years; loving mother of Terrie Kovacevic (Joe); dearest grandmother of Jen Alexander and Blake Paynther; daughter of the late Peter and Helen Welling; sister of the late Peter Welling; dear sister-in-law of Kay Garbas; beloved aunt and great-aunt of many.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital www.stjude.org.
