Beatrice R. Benegalija

BEATRICE R. BENEGALIJA "BEA" (née Poli), age 76, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Mount Saint Joseph Rehab Center in Euclid. Beloved wife for nearly 46 years of Emil "Milan"; loving mother of Carla; caring "grandma" of grandcat, Milagros "Milli"; dearest daughter of the late Angelo and Francesca (née Cesari); dear sister of Rocco (deceased) (Margaret), Rosario (deceased), and Anthony. Devoted aunt of Deborah De Salvo (Robert), David (Judi), Patricia Prokesh (Mark), and Michael (Melissa). Caring great-aunt, great great-aunt, godmother and friend of many. Beatrice was a loving woman with a heart of gold, who would do anything for anybody without hesitation! She spent much of her life as a legal secretary, but her role as wife, mother, and homemaker are what she cherished most! She was a fabulous cook and baker, especially of Italian and Slovenian specialties. She took pleasure in simple things, especially quality time spent with family and good friends. Her happiest times included taking rides with her husband out to Chagrin Falls, Amish Country, etc., going twice a week to the dollar movie theater, going out to eat, and watching the Golden Girls and other comedy great comedy shows with her daughter, Sunday visits to her brother's house, playing cards with friends, and so, so many other things! These are memories of her that we will hold close in our hearts forever! Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 1730 Mount Carmel Dr., Wickliffe, Saturday, August 8 at 11 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery in Brook Park. Friends received at ZEVNIK-COSIC FUNERAL HOME, 28890 CHARDON RD. (BETWEEN ROCKEFELLER RD. AND BISHOP RD.), WILLOUGHBY HILLS, FRIDAY FROM 4-8 P.M.
