Benedetta Ryan 1954-2026
Benedetta “Nadette” Ryan, 71, of Cleveland, Ohio, passed away on Monday, March 9th 2026.
Nadette was born in Garfield Heights on June 7th, 1954 to Louise and Anthony Cacolici, both beauticians, and Nadette would often share memories of the lively home as her mother would cut hair on the back porch. As a young girl, Nadette loved to participate in her community's block party event, the “Shady Oak Olympics”, with her older brother Santo “Sandy” Cacolici and best friend Betty Lou Sislak, and they would share stories of her running the bases in her local baseball team. Nadette graduated from Garfield Heights High School and went on to follow in her parents’ footsteps to study cosmetology. She would then become one of the first hair stylists at Charles Scott Salon in Rocky River, and work there until her retirement in 2020. Nadette over the years shared many stories of her family at Charles Scott. She was an incredibly talented hairstylist and was dubbed the “perm queen” by her colleagues. She had the gift of gab and loved chatting with her fellow stylists and clients and everyone was always excited when she brought in her famous pistachio cake.
Nadette will always be remembered for her charming and cheeky smile and her ability to befriend anyone. She loved music, especially live music when performed by her husband Mark Ryan or her child Paul. We will miss her eager and playful nature and we are all blessed to have known her. The memory of her dancing spirit will live on in all of our hearts.
Nadette was preceded in death by her mother Louise, her father Anthony, and is survived by her husband Mark, her brother Santo and her child Paul.
