BERT LEE GREENOE, JR. "Bud", age 90, passed away on December 4, 2024. On March 23, 1934, he was born to the late Mary Rose (Ross) and Bert Lee, Sr., US Army, preceded in death by his sisters: Marie Kubitz (Edward, deceased), Evelyn Cipolla (Tony, deceased), Dolores Scarano (Frank, deceased), Alice Voight (Fred), Betty Leavey (Albert), Elsie Erigo (Pete), and daughter K.D Spence.
Bert is survived by brother Roy Greenoe (Joyce, deceased), and sister Margie Greenoe. He is the beloved father of Laura and MAJ (R) Douglas, U.S. Army (Mary); Grandfather to Stephanie Schumacher Vacula (Jason), Kelsey Dyer (Patrick) and CPT Kevin Greenoe, USAF (Corey). Loved and adored by his Great Grandchildren: Adeline, Hazel and Theodore, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Bud adored his (mostly) faithful feline companion, Molly.
Following in the footsteps of his brother, Bert joined the USMC in May of 1956 at a young age. He made the rank of Corporal and was also awarded the Good Conduct Medal. For several years he was a Rifleman in Company D, 1st Battalion, 4th Marines, 1st Marine Brigade. Their motto is “Whatever it Takes” which he certainly lived up to! He was very proud to be part of the US Marine Corps. He always flew his US Marine Corp Flag and could be seen sporting his Marine swag.
After his service in the USMC, Bud worked as a Supervisor of Quality Control at TRW Automotive Holdings Corp., he was also licensed in Optometry and HVAC. Bud retired at age 55, one of his favorite sayings was “Every day is Saturday!!”
Bud was known for being loving, easy-going and quick-witted. He was very generous and did not hesitate to help anyone in need.

A Memorial Service will be held at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery on May 23, 2025 at 2:45 p.m.
