Betty Marie Kerkay

BETTY MARIE KERKAY (nee Thomay), age 84; passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2020. Beloved mother of Laura Kocuba and Jeff Kerkay (Colleen); loving grandmother of Jacob and Alex Kerkay; daughter of the late Tobias and Matilda Thomay; dearest sister of Henry Thomay (Elnore, deceased); beloved aunt, great-aunt, cousin and dear friend of many. Betty was a retired guidance counselor at Strongsville High School for nearly 20 years, impacting the lives of many young people. She was an avid traveler, animal and nature lover. She will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Strongsville Education Foundation c/o Betty Kerkay, PO Box 361160, Strongsville, OH 44136. The family will receive friends to pay tribute and celebrate her life at THE RIPEPI FUNERAL HOME, 5762 PEARL RD.(AT SNOW RD.) THURSDAY, JUNE 25 from 3-7 P.M. with social distancing.
