Listen to Obituary
Carmen Lydia Caraffa (nee Tosado Quinoñes), age 74, of Parma, Ohio was surrounded by family as she passed peacefully and took her journey home to heaven on February 4th, 2017.

Carmen was born on August 18, 1942 in Quebradillas, Puerto Rico to late Dionicio and Josefina Tosada (nee Quinoñes). She grew up there with her two brothers and four sisters. Carmen was a dedicated Nursing Assistant for over 15 years at Aristocrat in Lakewood, Ohio doing what she loved most which was caring of others.

On November 27, 1965, she married her beloved husband of 51 years, Isboset Caraffa at St. Augustine’s Church in Cleveland, Ohio. They settled in Ohio, eventually moving to Puerto Rico and then returned to Cleveland, Ohio, where they raised their two sons.

Her passion was her family and watching her grandchildren grow. She loved to cook for everyone and was a servant at heart to many others. She was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Sister, Sister in-law and Aunt, showering us every day with unconditional love; a living example of grace.

A special thank you to the care team at Holy Family Hospice on State Rd, along with Evi Nieves and Lisa Tosado who treated Carmen in her home with compassion and tenderness, alongside her loving family. Along with all of those who supported the family with errands, and food.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband Isboset, son Isboset, Jr., daughter in-law Susanne (nee Dunigan), son Jose, daughter in-law Teresa (nee Butcher) and Grandchildren Stephaney (Matthew Cain), Isboset III “Izzy”(Krystin Marie), Kimberley (fiancé Jeddediah), Michael, Benjamin, Jose, Jr., Great- grandchildren, Jacob and Zachary.
