Carmen Gangale

CARMEN GANGALE, age 72, passed away on February 1, 2024. He is survived by his loving wife, Josephine (nee Salvatore) of 26 years and was predeceased by his first wife, the beloved Giuseppina (nee Parise; d. 1995). Carmen was a proud father to Carmela Sarti (Carlo), Domenic, Roberto (Julie), Rosa Sarsfield (Mike), Allen Forsythe (Rebecka), Jeffrey Forsythe (Ashley), and Shannon Forsythe. Dear son of the late Domenico and Carmela (nee Martucci). Devoted brother of Giuseppe (deceased) (Vittoria), Caterina Calabretta (Erminio Pontieri), Rose Florio (Pete), Rita Clark (Dan), Maria Rakoczy (Raymond), and Antonio (Christine). Cherished Nonno to 13 grandchildren, great-grandpa to one, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend of many. Carmen was born in Pallagorio, Italy and immigrated to America in 1971 with little in his pocket and no knowledge of the language. He worked various odd jobs to start a life in this country, but found a lasting career in concrete and started his own company within just a few years. Carmen brought from Italy many traditions such as making his own wine, sauce and sausage. These traditions, as well as his love for gardening, will be passed down for many generations. He will be remembered always by his generosity, hard work and eternal love for his family, especially his grandchildren who were the light of his life.
