CAROL B. HAKOS (nee Simmons), Age 92, of Middleburg Heights and the Villages, Florida, passed away peacefully on Tuesday November 4, 2025. Beloved wife of the late Edward J., Sr.; loving mother of Linda O’Neill (Tom), Edward, Jr. (deceased)(Mary), Patrick (Charlene) and Cynthia Buckholz (Steven); dearest grandmother of Jessica, Jaclyn (Jarrett), Jamie (Michael), Jillian (David), Jordan (Scott), Johanna (deceased), Erika (Alex), Angela, Patrick, Jr (Allison), Peter (Maddie) and Steven, Jr. (Jessica); great grandmother of Elisa, Leonardo, Van, Cadence, Taun, Jocelyn, Jackson, Jayden, Samuel, Ronald, Kya, Jameson, MJ, Graham, Thomas, Cameron, Meriam and Benjamin; daughter of the late Floyd and Mabel (nee Sullivan) Simmons; sister of the late Floyd Simmons Jr. and Gloria Jean Kosiba; aunt, great aunt and dear friend of many. She loved being surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Carol and Ed were the retired owners of Hakos Realty in Middleburg Heights. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 12700 Pearl Rd., Saturday November 22, 2025 at 9:30 a.m. Procession to follow to Woodvale Cemetery.
