Cathy Lynn Weber, cherished mother to her one and only child, was just 59 when she passed away next to her daughter, Natalie around 1:37 p.m. on October 8, 2026, at St. John’s Medical Facility in Westlake, Ohio just nine days shy of her 60th birthday. The light that she brought to lives of the people she loved is irreplaceable, however it lives on in everyone’s life she touched.
Cathy was born on October 17th, 1966 in Fort Sill, Lawton, Oklahoma to her loving parents Karen and William Sarver Sr. who then went on to raise her in North Ridgeville, Ohio along with her brothers Bobby, and Billy. Growing up she was academically gifted, consistently held straight A’s, and had a knack for writing. She was a “tomboy” who enjoyed playing sports, such as football and baseball with the neighborhood kids. She graduated from North Ridgeville High School, and would later in life attend online classes for a Medical Billing and Coding degree.
There was one thing that Cathy wanted more than anything, and it was to be a mother. Unfortunately, doctors would tell her that pregnancy for her would likely be impossible because of medical conditions, but then one day a miracle happened. She would go on to give birth to one and only child on August 7th, 2001, whom she loved more than anything in the whole world. She worked incredibly hard even while going through many hardships. Even though she didn’t always like hearing it; Cathy was an incredibly strong person and battled cancer for over four years.
Camping with her family were easily some of Cathy’s favorite memories not only growing up, but later in life because she adored being with her loved ones. She loved listening to bands and artists such as Fleetwood Mac, Journey, Peter Gabriel, and Genesis; even attending some of their concerts. Some of her favorite movies and tv shows were Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Criminal Minds, Twilight, and NCIS, which she often watched with her daughter.
She was preceded in death by her mother Karen Lee Sarver, and is survived by her daughter Natalie Weber, her father William Michael Sarver Sr, brothers William Michael Sarver Jr, Robert Steven Sarver, and sister in law/best friend Kathy Sarver whom married Cathy’s brother Billy. A piece of Cathy will forever live on in these individuals, and so many more who truly knew her for the wonderful person that she was.
She was laid to rest on 10/15/26 at Sunset Memorial Park 6245 Columbia Rd, North Olmsted, OH 44070. Any donations should be made out to The Wild Animal Initiative, if you are able and willing to spare anything.
