Charles J. Hakaim

CHARLES J. HAKAIM, age 98; beloved husband of the late Suzanne (nee Joseph); loving father of Ruth Saba (Jess), Dr. Albert Hakaim (Donna Shaw Hakaim) and Charles J. Hakaim; dearest grandfather of five; great-grandfather of six; son of the late Assad and Genevieve; brother of the Rose Harants, Joseph and George Hakaim (all deceased); uncle and cousin of many. Charlie was a U.S. Navy WWII Veteran, graduate of the old Lincoln High School class of 1940 and Ohio Northern University class of 1949.  He was a tax specialist, life-long learner and a career employee of National City Bank, retiring as an Assistant Vice President. In retirement, Charlie participated in activities with the VFW, Deaconess-Kraft Senior Center, the Senior Olympics and Honor Flight.  He loved to dance. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the church or organization of your choice. Special thanks to Sally Volpe, Janie Hall and Drs. Nancy Sobecks and Allison Rogish, and their teams, for their great care.  Funeral Service at St. Elias Church, 8023 Memphis Ave., Brooklyn, Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at 11 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Due to the national health crisis, caution must be exercised by all of us. So, instead of attending in person, the service can be live streamed via Facebook by liking Saint Elias Melkite Greek Catholic Church. Friends received at THE RIPEPI FUNERAL HOME, 5762 PEARL RD.
