Claudia Louise Bulkowski

CLAUDIA LOUISE BULKOWSKI (nee Kowicki), age 82; passed away Tuesday March 12, 2019. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio on August 16, 1936. She married her high school sweetheart Donald Bulkowski on January 8, 1955 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. As a young woman she was a commercial artist for the Ohio Bell Telephone Company. As a mother, she continues to work outside the home as a graphic designer for the Bulletin, a sales associate at JCPenny and an office assistant at Royal Chemical until she retired at age 70. She was a dedicated member of St. Barnabas Catholic Church for decades, serving on various committees and praying in the Chapel as part of the Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration team. She was devoted to her family and was a kind and generous person. She welcomed anyone at her table, which was often filled with delicious Polish food and beautifully decorated cakes. She is survived by children Mary Theresa Bulkowski, Mary Patricia Bulkowski, Mary Lauretta Schneider (Scott Holt), Wanda Bulkowski-Larsen (Stephen Larsen), Jess Bulkowski (Diane), and Sara Flowers (David). Loving grandmother of Brian Schneider, Jr. (Brittany), Nathan Larsen, Alex Schneider (Carly), Emma Larsen, Jake Bulkowski, Kasey Flowers, and Brendan Flowers. She is also survived by her siblings, Harry Eiden (Gloria) and Norene Tokar (Michael) and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald who passed away on December 13, 2000. The family thanks the loving staff of the Villa for taking such wonderful care of our mother and the HMC Hospice staff for gently guiding our mother home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to the St. Barnabas Villa, 9234 Olde 8 Rd., Northfield, Oh, 44067. Mass of Christian Burial, St. Barnabas Church, 9451 Brandywine Rd., Northfield, Friday March 15, 2019 at 10 a.m. Interment All Saints Cemetery.
