CYNTHIA STEIN (nee Futrell), age 77; passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 20, 2026. Loving mother of Teresa Stein (John Lockwood), Crystal Stein (deceased) and Matthew Stein (Amber) (Nicole, deceased); dearest grandmother of Jewel Yarger-Kopchu (Mike), Mason Yarger, Mak Stein, Christina Stein, Shandi Stein, Maggie Lockwood; daughter of the late Lester and Bernice (nee Morrow) Futrell; sister of the late Linda Truskowski and Mike Bayer.

Cynthia will be remembered as a woman who was strongly grounded in her faith, and for her generosity towards her family, friends and others in need. She lived, and dressed, for the moment as though every day was a special occasion. Her daughter and son have happy memories of the wonderful birthday parties of their youth, handmade costumes for Halloween, and amazing home baked treats, which she too fancied. She enjoyed fellowship with her neighbors, and never passed up an opportunity to chat with friends. She delighted in shopping to find the perfect gifts for family and friends without any expectation of return, just the joy of seeing others smile.

Cynthia was held in high regard by all those whose lives she touched; she will be profoundly missed. Her family finds solace in knowing that she has been given divine absolution and granted eternal rest of mind and body, to dwell in the house of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Graveside services will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery, 14609 Brookpark Road, Brook Park, Ohio Wednesday August 26, 2026 at 1pm.
