CYNTHIA ANN YUNIS (nee Rodgers), age 65, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, in her home, on May 4, 2024. Beloved wife of the late Raymond, her beloved husband of 28 years; loving partner of James Muck; devoted mother of Angela Jubera (Matthew) and Raymond Yunis, Jr.; adoring grandmother of Tony Jubera (Morgan); cherished great-grandmother of Gianna and Genevieve Jubera; daughter of Kasimer Joseph and Aldona Stella Rodgers (nee Lapeikis); sister of Michael Rodgers (deceased) (Carol), Sally Ostromek (Andy) (both deceased), Linda Yunis (Thomas), Kasimer Rodgers, Jr. (deceased) (Colleen) and Richard Rodgers; loving aunt of many nieces and nephews; cousin of many. Cindy grew up with Lake Erie as her backyard in Mentor Headlands. The marsh and lake were her playground. The sense of freedom and exploration inhabited most of her childhood, discovering hidden nooks and crannies, encountering wildlife, the simple joys of childhood discovery. In the subsequent chapter of Cindy’s life, she met Raymond and married in 1977, then moved to Cleveland. Their love blossomed into a family with the arrival of their two children, Angela and Raymond, Jr., where they raised their family in the Collinwood neighborhood. Cindy ensured her home was filled with laughter, love, and togetherness. She treated her family to homemade bakery that was second to none. Cindy enjoyed not only baking but crafting in every form. She crafted exquisitely adorned birthday cakes for her children, contributed to constructing and detailing miniature cites for HO train exhibits, and fashioned dollhouses along with their accompanying accessories. Cindy found pleasure in pottery, meticulously handcrafting every Halloween costume for her children with impeccable detail, and skillfully tailoring their clothes to ensure a flawless fit. Cindy’s knack for detailing and perfection shone through in every aspect of her life, enriching the experiences of her family and friends with her thoughtful gifts and meticulous attention to detail. Cindy’s home fostered a warm and welcoming sanctuary for family and friends to gather, reflecting the genuine love and hospitality from her heart. Cindy’s happiest of days revolved around family. Her grandson, Tony and great granddaughters, Gia and Evie were her entire world. Nothing brought her greater joy than being with them. She showered the people in her life with love, support, encouragement, and wisdom. Cindy consistently sacrificed her needs and wants for the good and happiness of her family. Cindy’s final resting place will be alongside her husband at Brooklyn Heights Cemetery & Memorial Abbey Mausoleum. Family and friends will be received at THE RIPEPI FUNERAL HOME, 5762 PEARL RD. (AT SNOW RD.), THURSDAY, MAY 9, 2024 from 6-8 p.m. with a service at 7 p.m.
