Daniel E. Travers

DANIEL E. TRAVERS, age 88; passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 28, 2025 surrounded by his family. Devoted husband of the late Frances (nee Pishkula); loving father of Daniel F. Travers; son of the late Melvin Sr. and Mary (nee Goszka) Travers; brother of Melvin J. Travers (Gail, deceased), Dolores Merkle (Thomas), Barbara Pilny and Tom Travers; uncle of Debbie, Mark, Michael, Cheryl, Mel Charles, John, Bret, Matthew, Michael and Adam; beloved companion of the late Rosemary Wagner; dear friend of Lisa Wagner, the Wagner family and Jarrett Abraham, and many others. Dan retired from the Cleveland Plain Dealer over 30 years of service. He was very active in his faith, and participated in bereavement support groups to help others who have lost someone they loved. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. In lieu of flowers contributions to Holy Family Hospice Home, 6707 State Rd., Parma, OH 44134. Funeral Service at the funeral home, Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Family and friends received at THE RIPEPI FUNERAL HOME, 5762 PEARL RD. (AT SNOW RD.)
