Danny D. Dodson, of Medina County, Ohio, passed away on April 2, 2026.

Danny was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend whose presence brought strength, laughter, and warmth to all who knew him. He was a proud member of the Masonic community and lived with a deep sense of loyalty, integrity, and care for others.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy Dodson; his children, Anna Muroff (Michael Muroff), Julie Dodson (Jeff Akins), and Adam Dodson (Jennifer Dodson); and his stepdaughter, Tonya Fisher (Doug Fisher). Danny was a proud and loving grandfather to Makenna Santarelli, Mason and Colton Dodson, and Harper Akins.

Danny is also survived by his siblings, Mary Baisden (deceased), Judy Raper (husband Elvis), and Marshall Holly (deceased), as well as several nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.

Danny spent his career as a long-haul truck driver, a profession that reflected his independence, resilience, and strong work ethic - traits he carried throughout his life.

Outside of work, Danny found his greatest joy in life’s simple and meaningful moments. He loved boating and fishing, and he especially treasured the time spent in the garage working side by side with his son, rebuilding an early-generation Mustang. He found immense happiness in being a grandfather and spending time with his family and friends.

In his final months, Danny was cared for with compassion and dignity by the dedicated staff at Western Reserve Masonic Community and Crossroads Hospice of Medina County. His family is deeply grateful for the kindness and support they provided.

Danny will be remembered for his steady presence, his love for his family, and the countless memories he created with those closest to him. He will be deeply missed and forever held in the hearts of those who loved him.

Danny will be laid to rest at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery for a private burial.
