David J. Carlo

DAVID J. CARLO, age 87, of Strongsville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Mary Ann (nee DiPasquale) for 64 years; loving dad of David Carlo (deceased), Gino Carlo, Barbara Bodnar (Craig), Mark Carlo (Rosemarie, deceased) and Lisa Maria Kosinar; cherished papa of Nicholas Bodnar, Stephanie Ann Johnson (Kenny), Michael Carlo, Chelsea Oesterle (Michael), Sarah Kosinar (fiancé Jordan Brown), Samuel Kosinar, III and Vito Anthony Carlo; great-grandfather of Channing Johnson, Gabriel Wyrick, Kingston Johnson, Bella Johnson, Wyatt Oesterle and Sebastian Brown; dear son of the late William and Margaret Carlo; devoted brother of Richard Carlo (Audrey) and the late Edward Carlo (Helen); brother-in-law of Genevieve Loeri (Kenneth, deceased) and Debbie Ciacchi (Dean); dear uncle, friend and like a father to many. Dave was born in Canada, a proud U.S. Army Veteran, retired circulation manager for the Cleveland Plain Dealer where he worked for 39 years, a longtime chauffeur trainer and driver for American Limousine Service and an avid gardener. He will be greatly missed by many. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 6750 State Rd., Parma, Monday, October 28, 2019 at 10 a.m. Entombment Holy Cross Mausoleum.  Friends received at RIPEPI FUNERAL HOME, 5762 PEARL RD.
