David E Lennerth, age 81 of Strongsville passed away on July 30,2026. He was a loving and devoted father of Kelly Salerno and Kim Albert (Matthew); dearest grandfather of Tyler & Hunter Salerno, Hailey Erickson (Adrian), John ”J.P” Calandra, Cameron ”Cami” Albert; dear brother of Rick (Linda), Joy Dushin, Marnie Kaminski (Dan), Ed (Wendy) and many nieces and nephews. David was an Army Veteran, but his greatest joy was his daughters, grandchildren and spending time with those he loved. Their happiness was his greatest wish.
A man of unwavering faith, he believed God had a plan for everyone. Before losing his eyesight, he found peace in riding his horse “copy” and enjoying the camping life. His faithful dog, Miles, was his constant companion and best friend.
He lit up a room with his laughter and playful teasing, leaving smiles wherever he went. He will be remembered for his deep love, strong faith, kind heart and the joy he brought to others. Though he will be deeply missed, his legacy will live on in all those who were blessed to know him. There will be a private service held at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd, Seville, Ohio 44273. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
