David Phillip Thomas, “Peanut,” 65, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2020 at his home in Cleveland.
David is survived by his children Julie (Brian) Sminchak, Caroline (Kris) Toth, Ann Thomas, David Thomas, Victoria (Jim) Ward and Michelle Thomas; his grandchildren Jacob, Kyle, Luke, Ruby, Sophie, Lexi, Avery and Eleanora; and his many loving brothers, sister, nieces, nephews and cousins. David was a loved father and grandfather. He was proceeded in death by his son, Matthew and his father, Steve and mother, Ann.
David loved Cleveland sports, Dunkin Doughnuts coffee and his family above all else. He worked for 30 years at Ferry Cap and Screw and spent his free time watching various sports games, bowling, playing baseball and enjoying time with his grandchildren. David was always there to help his family and friends in anyway he could.
The family will greet visitors on Saturday, February 29 from noon-2 p.m. at Ripepi Funeral Home, 5762 Pearl Rd. (at Snow Rd.), Parma, followed by a memorial service for friends and family to share their favorite memories of “Peanut.”
