Debby Gorencic

DEBBY GORENCIC (nee Singerman) of Lakewood, OH peacefully passed away on September 26, 2024, at the age of 74, surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of Frank Gorencic; dearest sister of Christine Singerman (deceased), Rick Singerman (deceased), Jan Wehn (Scott) and Kalynn Vernick (Gordon); loving aunt of Jessica Jacobson (David), Michael Wehn (Jessica), Devin Vernick (Meredith) and Drew Vernick; great-aunt to Dylan and Ethan Jacobson.

Debby was born in Cleveland, OH on November 16, 1949, to Dr. Richard and Maxine Singerman. She was a graduate of Valley Forge High School and proud alumni of Mt. Union College. Professionally, Debby contributed to a variety of positions eventually finding her long-time role with the Cleveland Clinic as part of the Human Resources and Benefits team.

A loyal and loving wife, sister and aunt, Debby was most often found enjoying time with her family. A friend to many, she was a member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority, devoted volunteer with the Friends of Lakewood Library and Urban Hope, long-time member of the Southwest Unitarian Universalist congregation and an avid sports fan who enjoyed travel and celebrating special occasions with those she was close with. A natural nurturer, Debby cared for her parents, husband, brother and sisters, niece and nephews, and most recently her great-nephews, who she could often be found playing with and regularly picked up from school.
