IN LOVING MEMORY OF
DOLORES FAYE
GRASBERGER
September 30, 1928 – March 20, 2026
Dolores Faye Grasberger passed away peacefully on Friday, March 20, 2026, with her daughter Bonnie by her side.
Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, Dolores was a devoted wife and mother. After her children were raised, she went to work at Toddle Tots Day Nursery on Spring Road, where she remained until her retirement.
For the past five years, Dolores and her husband Frank made their home at Vitalia Senior Living in Strongsville, Ohio, where they enjoyed time with family and friends, formed meaningful new friendships, and embraced the sense of community around them. Dolores remained active and social, finding joy in staying connected and engaged with those she loved.
Dolores found great joy in the special moments she shared with her husband Frank, including being featured on Steve Hartman’s “On the Road” in 2021 and again in 2023, when Steve’s son interviewed them. One particularly meaningful highlight was the reunion with DeShauna Priest, who as a child had written Frank a letter while he was on an Honor Flight to Washington, D.C. Twelve years later, they met her in person—now grown and serving in the military—a reunion that filled Dolores with gratitude and deeply touched her and her family.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 79 years (February 5, 2026), her parents, Otto and Rose Cermak, her granddaughter Bonnie, and her son-in-law Harry James DeFeo of Kansas City, Missouri.
She is survived by her children Bonnie Huber (Max Huber), and Linda DeFeo. Grandchildren Cheryl Lechman (Dan), Marianna DeFeo (Sammy Albadri) Frank (Rocky) DeFeo (Casey Mast), Great-Grandchildren Nick Huber, Nate Lechman, Farah Albadri, Amir Albadri and her Great-Great-Grandchild Hunter Huber. She is also survived by loving cousins, nieces and nephews.
The Grasberger family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Vitalia Senior Living - Strongsville, OH and the Thomas P. Perciak Family Residential Hospice staff, for the kindness, care, and support Dolores received throughout her journey. The family would also like to offer a special thank you to Ric Esarey and his brothers at the Cleveland Masons Lodge No. 781 for their continued support and dedication.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to Quilts of Honor, 6516 Stabulis Road, Valley Springs, CA 95252. Please indicate that donation is for the Northeastern Ohio Chapter.
Military burial will be held at a later time at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery (Rittman).
