Domenico "Dominic" Avenoso

DOMENICO “DOMINIC” AVENOSO, age 93; born in Cittanova, Reggio Calabria, Italy; beloved husband of Vincie (nee Mamone) for 63 years; loving father of Mary; son of the late Michele and Giuseppina; brother of Gloria DeMoro (Antonio, deceased), Rev. Giuseppe Avenoso (deceased) and Raffaela Scerra (Albino, deceased), all of Italy; uncle and great-uncle. Dominic was a hardworking, faith-filled man who loved his family and friends, his Church, his trade as a woodworker, his birthplace, and his home in Cleveland.  He enjoyed soccer, his Vespa motor scooter, wine making and gardening.  In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to St. Mary and Borromeo Seminaries, 28700 Euclid Ave., Wickliffe, OH 44092 or Holy Family Hospice, 6707 State Rd., Parma, OH 44134.  Mass of Christian Burial at St. Rocco Church, 3205 Fulton Rd., Cleveland, Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at 10 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.  Friends received at RIPEPI FUNERAL HOME, 5762 PEARL RD. (AT SNOW RD.), MONDAY 2-8 P.M.
