Dorothy M. Bugay

DOROTHY M. BUGAY age 98, wife of the late Steve Bugay for 55 years; daughter of the late Edward and Mary Tomusko; loving mother of Stephen E. (Stella) Bugay of Denver, CO, Donata Rahne (Charles) of Parma OH, and Donna Molner (Lawrence, deceased) of Marion, IN; dear grandma of Chuck (deceased) and Sarah Rahne, Renata Saranillo, Renee Molner, Sean, Erik and Anneliese (deceased) Bugay, Kaci Tharp, Katie Salle and Aimee Duplessie; loving great-grandma of eight; dear sister of the late Edward, Irene, and Lucille; cherished aunt of Patsy Sebek and many other nieces and nephews. Dorothy volunteered for many years with several civic organizations in Cleveland. She was active in the Area Council Association, Southwest Civic Council, the Neighborhood Environmental Coalition and the Cleveland Auxiliary Police Program. She joined the auxiliary program in 1972 and patrolled the Brooklyn Center neighborhood. At the age of 95 she celebrated 40 years of service and was awarded the “Chiefs Commendation”. Dorothy loved flowers and gardening, she was the “Flower of her Mother’s Heart”. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. A Special “THANK YOU” to all of Dorothy’s caregivers at Holy Family Hospice, especially Sr. Francis Helen and Nurse Susan Ashley. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Holy Family Hospice, 6707 State Rd., Parma, OH 44134. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, March 12 at 11 a.m. at St Charles Borromeo Church.
