DOROTHY C. GIEROSKY (nee Creahan), passed away peacefully on Wednesday March 4, 2026 at the age of 98 years, 5 months; devoted wife of Leonard (deceased) for nearly 73 years, loving mother to Paul, Pamela (Chuck Bernazzoli), Phyllis (Daniel Stothard), Peter (Julie Ware), Patricia, and Phillip (deceased); grandmother to Nicholas (Kristy) Gierosky, Gabriel Gierosky (Jennifer Null), Chrissy Paul (Kyle), Ellen Stothard (Joe Workman), Molly Stothard, Hannah Gierosky (Zac Paladino), Michelle Gierosky, Erin Thrower, and Anne Thrower (Michael Lautner); great grandmother to Alexander, Scarlett and Hadley Gierosky, Lillian Skold, Lauren Hoffmann (Robin Holm Pederesen) and Miles and Dylan Paladino; beloved daughter of the late Bernard and Rose Creahan; sister to Jeanette Missig (Raymond-deceased); aunt and great-aunt to many.

Dorothy was a graduate of St. Michael’s High School and volunteered over the years at Holy Family Catholic Church, Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities and NAMI Greater Cleveland.

She cherished her family and friends and loved to sew and quilt. Dorothy enjoyed crocheting baby blankets for The Westside Catholic Center. Each year, she looked forward to her winter trip to Moon Bay in Key Largo, Florida.

The family would like to thank the staff of Danbury Senior Living – Broadview Heights as well as Echo Hospice for the compassionate care provided to Dorothy.

Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Family Church, Saturday, March 14, 2026 at 11:00 am. Please meet at church. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Family and friends received at THE RIPEPI FUNERAL HOME, 5762 PEARL ROAD (AT SNOW RD.) Friday, March 13, 2026 from 5-7 pm.
