Dorothy Louise Synk

DOROTHY LOUISE SYNK (nee Petrunyak), age 90, passed away October 27, 2017. Beloved wife of the late Robert Synk for 66 years since their wedding in 1949; cherished mother of Robert Synk (Elaine), Marilyn Quilty (Dennis), James Synk (Pamela), and Marianne Kesock (Michael); grandmother of Melissa Bixler, Erin McGee, and PJ Synk; great-grandmother of Ryan and Jack Bixler and Makenzie and Mitchell McGee; daughter of the late Joseph Petrunyak and Mary (nee Churella); sister of Sister Jane Petrunyak and Fred Petrunyak and the following deceased: John, Joe, Albert “Pete”, Marie Fejes, Leo, and Emory. Dorothy was a graduate of Patton High School in Patton, PA, worked at National Carbon, was a devoted homemaker and long-time parishioner at St. Bart’s.  In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to Ohio Living Hospice, 6715 Tippecanoe Road, Canfield, OH 44406, in memory of Dorothy Synk.   Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bartholomew Church, 14865 Bagley Rd., Middleburg Heights, Thursday November 2, 2017 at 10 a.m. (please meet at church).  Internment at Holy Cross Cemetery.  Friends received at RIPEPI FUNERAL HOME, 5762 PEARL RD. (AT SNOW RD.), WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 1 FROM 3- 7 P.M.
