DR. BERNARD “DON” KENNEY, age 88; beloved father of Robert, Katy Vokes (Tim), Maura Prentiss (Steve, deceased), Janet (deceased), Joseph (Penny) and James (Diane); grandfather of Christa, Jimmy Joe (deceased), Jamie, Erin, Jon, Jackie, Maura, Rebecca, James, Ben, Alexandria, Valerie and Georgeanne; great-grandfather of six; son of the late James and Ruth (Anshutz); brother of Joan Johnson (Bill) and the late James, Patrick, Richard and Marion; half-brother of the late Marion Pagel and Kenneth Kenney. Also survived by Lynne Filipic, the mother of his children. Don was a well-known dentist. He was a graduate of Holy Name High School, John Carroll University and Western Reserve Dental School. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of Columbia Hills Country Club. Don was a resident of Parmadale as a child and later volunteered as a football and basketball coach. He was an amateur boxer and an avid golfer. He will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Ohio Veterans Home, 3416 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, OH 44870. Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Family Church, 7367 York Rd., Parma, Monday, May 2, 2016 at 10 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends received at RIPEPI FUNERAL HOME, 5762 PEARL RD. (AT SNOW RD), SUNDAY 2-6 P.M.
