DR. TIMOTHY J. GALLAGHER, of Aurora, was called to serve as a physician in Heaven on February 11, 2025. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by his wife and children. He was 68 years old. Born June 21, 1956 to the late Judge Patrick F. Gallagher and herself, Eileen B. Gallagher in Parma, he was always proud of his Parma heritage. He was a 1974 graduate of St. Ignatius high school, following in the footsteps of his father and two older brothers. He graduated from Case Western Reserve in 1978 and later earned master’s degrees in biology and chemistry from Cleveland State. He earned his medical doctorate from Case Western Reserve in 1986. He was a beloved physician at Parma Hospital and medical director for Seasons of Life Hospice. He practiced medicine in northeast Ohio for more than 30 years, serving and caring for countless patients and their families, friends, relatives and neighbors.
An avid athlete, he competed in basketball, golf, tennis and cycling events for many years. He loved his family, his faith, his Irish heritage, sports, the outdoors, animals, and Starbucks mochas. He was a devoted husband to his wife of 41 years, Lynn; a cherished father to his children, Amy, Jaclyn, Tim (Sarah) and Erin (Michael); a joyful papa to his grandchildren, Jack, Aiden and Conor; a loving brother to his siblings, Pat (Cyndie), Mike (Cathy), Jay (Kathleen) and Colleen (Greg), “brothers” Tony, Lou (Tami), John (Beth), and Vince; a steady source of knowledge, candy, jokes and happiness for many nieces, nephews, cousins, in laws, life-long childhood friends, and dear colleagues. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to St. Charles Borromeo Church, 5891 Ridge Rd., Parma, OH 44129. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Charles Borromeo Church on Monday February 17, 2025 at 11 a.m. Please meet at church. Interment to follow at Lake View Cemetery. Family and friends received at THE RIPEPI FUNERAL HOME IN PARMA, 5762 PEARL RD. (AT SNOW RD.), Sunday, February 16, 2025 from 1-4 p.m.
