Edith L. Albany

EDITH "LORIETA" ALBANY (nee Garess), age 83; beloved wife of the late Sidney Blankenship and John Albany; loving mother of Noralie “Nonie” Roder (Dale, Sr.), Drema “Dee-Dee” Sanchez (Freddie) and Rhonda May (Barry); dear step-mother of John "Jack" Albany, Chris Dey, Curtis Albany, Eric "EJ" Albany and the late Larry Blankenship; dearest grandmother of Mikie, Mark, Dale Jr., Angel, Ashley, Amber, Brittney and Briana; dear great-grandmother of 12; daughter of the late Albert and Ethel Garess; sister of Cleta Withers (deceased), Glynda Erwin, Linda Goins (deceased), Edward Garess (deceased), Wanda Krainz and Joyce Ferguson.  All that knew her loved her.  She was a kind, soft spoken, loving Louisiana woman. If you were her friend, she kept you her friend.  She will be greatly missed. Service at the funeral home Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 11 a.m. Interment West Park Cemetery.  Friends received at RIPEPI FUNERAL HOME, 5762 PEARL RD. (AT SNOW RD.), FRIDAY 3-7 P.M.
