Edward J. Verlie

Edward J. Verlie, age 87, passed away peacefully in his sleep Wednesday, January 15, 2020. Beloved father of Edward, Eileen Beckman (Paul), Michael (Lana), Catherine Krokos (Sam) and Francine Cristino (Alex); loving grandfather of 15 and great grandfather of five; brother of Arlene Little and the late Richard Verlie. Edward was born to the late Mary (Sokol) and Frank Verlie on June 27, 1932. He joined the Air Force in 1949 and served in the Korean War. In 1953 he met and married Alice Halderman (deceased).  Edward was a devoted loving father and grandfather. He was kind and thoughtful to everyone he met. He loved spending time with his family, nature, fishing and music. We will miss him dearly. He is gone but will never be forgotten. A memorial service will be held at Ripepi Funeral Home on Monday, January 20, 2020 at 7 p.m.  Friends received at RIPEPI FUNERAL HOME, 5762 PEARL RD. (AT SNOW RD.), MONDAY 3-7 P.M.
