Eugene F. Sromek

EUGENE F. SROMEK, age 79; Passed away July 18, 2023. Gene was a loving Husband of 57 wonderful years to Lillian (nee Scheel). Beloved Father of Susan Stoughton (Daniel), Christine Laforet (Joseph), Matthew Sromek, and Valerie Dirk (Brian). He was a dear Grandfather to Jennifer and Thomas Stoughton, Joseph Jr., Jessica and Julia Laforet and Andrew and Alison Dirk. Gene fought a long courageous battle with lung cancer and passed peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the dearest Son of the late Frank and Eleanor Sromek. Dear Brother of the late Jeanette, Edward (Mary) and Loretta Prasnicki (Martin). Gene was an Army Veteran and a tinner by trade. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and being Mr. Fix-It for family and friends. Mass of Christian Burial at Mary Queen of the Apostles Parish, Friday, July 21, 2023 at 11 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends received at THE RIPEPI FUNERAL HOME, 5762 PEARL RD. (AT SNOW RD.) THURSDAY 4-7 P.M.
