Evelyn Ruvolo

EVELYN RUVOLO (nee Katona), age 92; beloved wife of the late Sam; loving mother of Jane (Wayne), Dennis (Cindy), Mary Kay, Patricia (John), Daniel (Peggy, deceased), David and Janet (Ed); dearest grandmother of 11; great-grandmother of 14; daughter of the late Steve and Anna Katona; sister of the late Alex Katona, Eugene Katona, Irene Forgan, Priscilla Callaghan and Ann Kolke; aunt, great-aunt and dear friend of many.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Holy Family Hospice, 6707 State Rd., Parma, OH 44134 or the Cleveland Animal Protective League, 1729 Willey Ave., Cleveland, OH 44113.  Our mother, Evelyn Ruvolo “Granny”, passed away peacefully, with family by her side.  She was born, raised and lived as a Catholic Christian who believed in God.  She had special devotion to St. Jude, St. Anthony and to our Blessed Mother.  Although Granny was of Hungarian decent, she was known for her delicious Italian cooking, which she loved to share with family and friends.  Her door was always open for friends and pets to visit and stay a while. We will miss her smile and loving spirit.  Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Family Church, 7367 York Rd., Parma, Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
