Frances Theresa Kovarik

FRANCES THERESA KOVARIK (nee Horvath), passed away after a successful surgery on January 31, 2017. She was the youngest of 10 children, born to George and Mary on December 25, 1925.  In her younger years she was an active participant in many sports and activities as a coach and parent.  She worked as an aide at Parma Senior High School before she retired in the late 1970’s.  She enjoyed playing games, animals, being outside, her family, playing sports and was a member of the Ohio Senior Olympic Team.  She is survived by her children, Reneé (Charles) Lawrie and Frank (Wendy) Kovarik.  She has five grandchildren, Chevawn (Cory) Sluzewski, Stephanie (Eric) Kiesel, Devon (Stephen) Davis, Frank Kovarik, Jr. and Michael (Mary) Lawrie.  She has eight great-grandchildren: Kaden, Kenzie, Charlie, Liam, Oona, Fiona, Oliver and Marlowe.  She was preceded in death by her husband Frank “Bud” Kovarik, her infant granddaughter Kelly, her parents and her siblings.  There will not be any services in Ohio at this time.  A burial at Arlington National Cemetery, where she will join her husband, is planned for spring.
