Gary Joseph Vigneau, 79, Sun City Center, FL lost his battle with Parkinson’s disease passing away on April 20,2024.
Gary graduated from Brooklyn High School, Brooklyn, Ohio in 1962 as a 4 letterman athlete and earned a football scholarship to Arizona State. After injuring his knee and having to leave his college football career behind, Gary transferred to The Ohio State University where he graduated with a degree in business in 1966. Gary began his career in the IT industry with various roles in sales and leadership in Cleveland, Columbus, ending his career in Tampa as Vice President of Sales at Collier Jackson.
Gary is preceded in death by his parents, Francis “Doc” and Margaret (nee Mezei), and his younger brother Lee. He is survived by his loving wife Judy of 59 years, daughter Shelley (Felipe), son Travis (Kaye), grandsons Mason and Cris, his sisters Eileen (Bob) and Linda, 9 nieces and nephews and 19 grand nieces and nephews. Gary loved to spend his time golfing, dancing, catching wind on his sailboat and watching his beloved Buckeyes. You could count on Gary to know what was happening in any sport.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday July 13, 2024 from 2-4 p.m. with words of remembrance at 3:30 p.m. at THE RIPEPI COMMUNITY CENTER, located at 5784 Pearl Rd, Parma, OH 44129. Please consider sharing your stories about Gary, and prepare to share tears and laughter with his family.
