Gennor Robert Marchese

GENNOR ROBERT MARCHESE, “Gene” “Bobby” Marchese, age 78, of Parma Heights, OH, passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2020. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Gennaro Marchese and Mildred Pristach (nee Ostich).  He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Irene (nee Mihalik); three daughters, Laura Cacioppo (Jeff), Lisa Khatoun (Mohamad) and Sandra Wocicki (Scot); sisters, Betty Jo Gauamis and Violet Marchese; three grandsons, Tyler, Ahmad and Ali and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his brother Michael.  Gene was proud of the time he served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Nautilus, the first nuclear powered submarine.  He was an avid reader and loved music, art, history and science and spent his later years writing many stories. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dementia Society of America www.dementiasociety.org . Interment will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville, OH.  All services private.
