GEORGE ELIAS SHAMATTA, age 45; loving husband of Christine Alsaker-Shamatta; beloved son of Elias and Lily; devoted brother of Joanie, Jihad with his wife Sherry and Joumana with her husband Issa; dearest uncle of Seth, Aliyah, Xavier and Heaven; grandson of Tannous and Hadbah Shamatta, George and Bassima Boufares; cousin and friend of many. George devoted his time to his family, friends and especially the St. Maron community. He will be greatly missed. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Maron Chapel, 7800 Brookside Rd., Independence, Friday, October 23, 2020 at 11 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends to pay tribute and celebrate the life of George at ST. MARON CHAPEL, THURSDAY from 5-7 p.m. Prayers of Incense at 7 p.m. Masks and social distancing required.
