GEORGINA IMBRIGIOTTA (nee Dolezal), age 86; beloved wife of Nick for 67 years; loving mother of Robin, Nick (Lydia), James (Kimberly) and Jenny Loveland (Brian); dearest grandmother of Julia, Nicholas and Georgina; dearest daughter of the late James and Mildred (nee Kerner) Dolezal; dear sister of Betty Ann Maulorico (deceased) (Ben) and Jaclyn Gibaldi (Vince) (both deceased); beloved sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt and dear friend of many.
Georgina started as a part time title clerk at Valley Ford Truck in Valley View at around 16 years old, with no idea that it was to become a full time professional career which would span some 40 plus years! Working long hours for the Ford Factory Truck Store, her big break came in 1978 when the store was taken over by her new boss, and soon to be longtime friend, John Drakesmith. He saw the potential in Georgina with her accounting skills and strong intuition of the Cleveland market as the business grew. She was promoted to the top financial position in the store in 1978 as the Secretary Treasurer, and did so through many successful, and some very challenging years in Northeast Ohio's economy. In 1986, when Drakesmith acquired a dealership in Orlando, Florida, Georgina was promoted to the General Manager position and afforded a minority partnership in the company. She was very successful with the dealership's service, parts and sales operations and acknowledged by the industry for years with many achievements, including Ford Top 10 Volume Heavy Truck Stores. Georgina's most significant career achievement may very well have been in being named the first female General Manager in the commercial truck business for a major O.E.M., a position which she loved and where she was respected for her savvy business strategies in accounting excellence and cost controls, with Drakesmith's support. She also trained the successor and current owner of the dealership, Brian O'Donnell, who was like her work son for 15 years. Georgina was so bright and had an instinct for our business that was amazing. Georgina retired at the young age of 60 but remained connected with Valley Ford Truck and her many employees.
