GERALD L. GEISS, July 4, 1933 – April 17, 2017, went home to Heaven peacefully, surrounded by his loving family. Gerald was married to Jean (Colosimo) for 61 years. Son of George and Viola (Marlo) Geiss and brother of six siblings. Loving father of Suzanne Hernandez (Rick), Kathleen Allen (David), Julianne Clark (Donald), Joseph Geiss (Sue), Loretta Hessler (Richard), Diane Kandzer (Tim) and Deborah Butler (Jeff). Loving grandfather of 15 and great-grandfather of nine. Jerry joined ROTC while at John Carroll University and served active duty in the U.S. Army during the Berlin Wall Conflict. After working 20 years at TRW, Jerry started Dartmouth Resourced Job Placement Company, focusing on helping to place adults with disabilities. He also worked with L’Arche Agency, a faith based service for adults with disabilities. He then worked at “Treasures for Life” thrift store as a Manager. He was a member of the Tower City Barber Shop Chorus as well as St. Charles Choir. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice Services of Southwest General, 18659 Drake Rd., Strongsville, OH 44136. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 5891 Ridge Rd., Parma, Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 11 a.m. Private family interment.
