Giuseppe “Joe” Cancelliere passed away on July 31, 2018 after a long and full life. He was born on December 15, 1921 in Alcara Li Fusi, Sicily to the late Basilio and Nicolina (nee Lovano) Cancelliere. In addition to his parents, he is proceeded in death by his wife Jeanetta (nee Oriti) and his brothers Antonino and Salvatore Cancelliere. Joe came to the United States after World War II and raised a beautiful family with his wife Jeanetta in Parma, OH. He was a retired construction worker and laborer union member for over thirty years and an avid gardener who grew the most beautiful vegetables that he shared with family, neighbors and friends. He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church and enjoyed many dances there. He is survived by his sister, Rosina Cancelliere of Italy and sister-in-law, Antonina Cancelliere of Garfield Heights. He is also survived by four sons, Nick (Karen) Cancelliere of Parma, Tony (Sandy) Cancelliere of Medina, Rich (Cindy) Cancelliere of Brunswick, and Mario (Kathy) Cancelliere of Canton, several grandchildren: Nicholas Cancelliere, Amanda (Bill) Behrend, Christopher (Dawn) Cancelliere, Vanessa (Paul) Brumme, Alex Cancelliere, Brian Cancelliere, Danny (Debbie) Cancelliere, Kristin (Anthony) Diak, Julie (Andrew) Sedlovsky and Joesph Cancelliere. He was blessed to have nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews in Cleveland and in Italy. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 6750 State Rd., Friday, August 3, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. Entombment Holy Cross Mausoleum. Friends received at RIPEPI FUNERAL HOME, 5762 PEARL RD.
