Glenda Kay Phipps

GLENDA KAY PHIPPS, age 75 of North Ridgeville, Ohio, left us on August 27, 2017 with loving family by her side. Kay was born in Salyersville, KY on May 14, 1942 to Mildred (nee Conley) and Melvin Phipps. They moved to Cleveland in 1950. A devoted mother, her children feel she was the greatest, most loving person in the world. Once her children were raised, Kay became a dedicated caregiver to her parents and she relocated to see them gracefully and comfortably through their final years. Beautiful inside and out, Kay was a loyal friend to many. In her free time, she pursued creative activities with considerable talent. Sewing, drawing and quilting were among her favorite pastimes. Kay is survived by siblings Eugene Phipps (Donna) and Sandra Phipps-Ashe (Steve); her devoted children Gerald Craig Lindak (Denise), Glenda Buzzelli (Phil Abate), Laura Murray (Mark); grandchildren Drew Lindak (Lindsey), Leah Lindak, Mario Buzzelli, Mia Buzzelli, Liam Murray, Luke Murray, and Casey Murray; nieces and nephews David Ray Phipps, Pam Carter (Mike), Karen Rogers Burke (Mike), and Lauren Ashe (Mark Hoffman). Kay was preceded in death by her parents Mildred and Melvin; her sister Paulette Rogers (Dave) and her nephew David Rogers. Services at the funeral home Friday, September 1, 2017 at 10 a.m. Interment Riverside Cemetery. Family will receive friends at RIPEPI FUNERAL HOME, 5762 PEARL RD. (AT SNOW RD.), THURSDAY 4-8 P.M.
