Gloria Viccarone

GLORIA VICCARONE (nee Diggins), age 91; beloved wife of Gene; loving mother of Debra Hovanetz (Robert), Susan Zak (Greg), Frank Viccarone (deceased), Denise Grossi (Palmier) and Gene Viccarone (Tanya); dearest grandmother of Matthew Hovanetz (Elise), Gregory Zak (Michelle), Gloria Zak, Camille Petruccio (Dominic), Sarah Viccarone, Michael Grossi, Emily Dieter (Thurman) and Jacob Viccarone; great-grandmother of nine.

Gloria was born and raised in Cleveland. As the oldest of eight siblings, she enjoyed spending several summers in Gallipolis with her grandma and taking her younger brother Paul with her wherever she went. Loving and dedicated mother of five, overjoyed with her 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren and cherished her husband of 71 years. She loved to bake poppyseed cakes and give them to friends and family. She kept an immaculate home and was known to frequently re-decorate. Gloria had a strong faith and during her healthy years was very involved with the Ladies Guild and Faith Renewals at St. Anthony of Padua Church. She also enjoyed her canasta club with friends. Above all she treasured her family and loved taking care of them. Family always came first. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 6750 State Rd., Parma, Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at 11 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends received at THE RIPEPI FUNERAL HOME, 5762 PEARL RD. (AT SNOW RD.) TUESDAY 4-7 P.M.
