Helen Butner

HELEN BUTNER, age 85 of Xenia, Ohio (formerly of Cleveland, Ohio) passed away on December 13, 2020. She was born March 15, 1935 in Tazewell County, Virginia as daughter of the late John and Susie Valdo. Helen was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. Helen cherished time with her family and dear friends. Her spirit of compassion for others will always be her enduring memory. In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Thomas “Tom” Butner, Sr. and brother, Alex Valdo. Helen is survived by her sons, Tom (Caroline) Butner, Jr. and Eric (Carrie) Butner; grandchildren, Chase, Alec, Keith, Jared, and Ian; as well as numerous other family members and friends. A graveside service will be held Saturday, April 24, 2021, 2:00 PM at Holy Cross Cemetery, 14609 Brookpark Rd. to lay Helen to rest next to her late husband. Please meet at the front entrance at 1:45 PM.
