Jakob Zerr

JAKOB ZERR, age 86; beloved husband of Lore (nee Keller) for 65 years; loving father of Evelyn Vleck, Ron, Karin Estepani (Edik) and Glenn (Kristina); devoted grandfather of Jacqueline, Brittany, Nicole, Benjamin, Lindsey, Andrew, Hannah, Allison and Lauren; great-grandfather of Tristen, Brielle and Coraline; brother of Celestina Pietruszka. Our sweet Jakob loved life. He was unfailingly devoted to his wife, loved his kids and cherished every minute with his grandchildren.  He taught us to take risks, be kind, and give more than you receive.  He made lifelong friends the old-fashioned way -- by being a friend you could count on.  He was our Mr. Fixit, Family Leader, Provider, Unwavering Supporter, and Trusted Advisor. He worked harder than anyone we know. His wisdom didn?t come from book learning, but from real-world experience and a level of empathy and understanding that radiated from his being.  We will miss his cheerful smile, his singing, his wonderful one-liners, and most of all his steadfastness that could calm our stormiest seas.  We love you Dad.  Aufwiedersehen. Service at the funeral home, Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 10 a.m. Interment Hope Memorial Gardens.  Friends received at RIPEPI FUNERAL HOME, 5762 PEARL RD.
