JAMES P. DOUGHER, age 81, of Valley City, passed away peacefully, Sunday, July 12, 2015. Beloved husband of Eleanor (nee Keppler) for 59 years ; loving father of Barney (Janet), Nancy Hoffman (F.H., deceased), Michael (Sandy), Jim (Laura), Molly Kilbane (Patrick), Mathew (Cindy), Jenny Malloy (Pat), Lea George, and Adam (Heidi); dearest grandfather of 29; great-grandfather of eight; loving son of the late Paul and Geneva; brother of Gerald (Hilde). Jim was a graduate of Culver Military School and Kent State University. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and an owner of Rooney Optical. His greatest pleasure in life was his family. He will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to St. Martin of Tours Church, 1800 Station Rd, Valley City, OH 44280 or to the Salvation Army. Memorial Mass at St. Martin of Tours Church, Friday, July 17 at 11 a.m. with a celebration of life luncheon to follow. Final resting place St. Martin of Tours Cemetery.
