JAMES DON KODYSZ, age 74, passed away March 8, 2025. Beloved husband of Alice (nee Zbikowski) for 53 years; loving father of Jeffrey A. Kodysz (deceased) (Elizabeth); step-grandfather of Anthony and Christian LoPiccolo; son of the late Walter and Mary Kodysz (nee Kowalski); brother of Walter Kodysz (deceased); brother-in-law of Nadine Kodysz; loving uncle of many nieces and nephews; dear friend of many. Jim had various interests and many hobbies. He spent countless hours working on cars when he was able to. He owned so many cars; they were too numerous to remember. Fishing during warm weather, as well as ice fishing, lead to many a good story involving many good friends. He accomplished a lifelong goal when he received his Amateur Radio Operator’s License. He achieved his General Class; his now silent mic is K8NBZ. Jim loved working with his hands, building, making and fixing things. He especially enjoyed working with wood. He was known as “Mr. Fix-It”. He really enjoyed restoring antique radios. Those that knew him, knew he was an avid collector. Among his other passions were reading, photography and collecting all kinds of “things”. He was self-taught on computers and was always trying to start his own business, but what Jim enjoyed most was talking to people. He loved sharing his wealth of knowledge of history, old movies, cars and trivia. If he could teach someone something, he was happy.
