JAMES J. MALIK, age 92; dear son of the late Joseph and Constance Malik; beloved husband of the late June O. for over 58 years; loving father of James A. (Olga), John R. (Diane, deceased), Donna M. and Matthew L. ( J ) Malik and Tara L. McCoy (Brian); beloved grandfather of Kelley (Adam), Jonathan (Erin), Scott (Myra), Teagan, Austin (Alex), Chesnei, Maddox and Markiyan; beloved great-grandfather of Logan, Revere, Zander, Kai, Blair, Roslyn and Emberlye. James graduated from St. Ignatius High School and then served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII as a cryptography technician with the rank of Sergeant. He then graduated from John Carroll University and went to work as a general office manager and sales for Eagle Wire Works Co. which was started in 1896 by his grandfather on Eagle Ave. in Cleveland, OH, now the site of Progressive Field. The manufacturing business operated for nearly 120 years. He was a lifelong devout Catholic and member of St. John Bosco Church and Holy Family Church as well as St. Clement of Rome Church in Sun City, AZ. James regularly donated to many charities to help others in need. He was a member of Aurora Country Club until the age of 90. Jim enjoyed bowling, roller skating, snow skiing and playing Gin Rummy with many of his friends. James had a very generous spirit to those who knew him and he provided surprising services to those who had nowhere to turn. He will be deeply missed and forever loved by all who knew him. A Private Family Mass of Christian Burial at St. John Bosco Church, 6480 Pearl Rd., Parma Heights, Saturday, March 21, 2020 at 10 a.m. Entombment at Sunset Memorial Park.
