JAMES R. PALETTA, SR., age 85, of Middleburg Heights, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 28, 2024. Beloved husband of the late Angeline C. (nee Maglionico) for 67 years; loving father of Deborah, James, Jr., John, Annette, Joseph (Rhonda) and Jack (Bonnie); dearest grandpa of Tricia, Marcus (deceased), Angela, Caroline, Katie, Jimmy, Jaclyn, Cody, Ryan, Joe, Jr. (deceased), Jamie, Nickolas and Gina; great-grandfather of 13; son of James and Katherine (nee Tangaro) (both deceased); brother of Gino (deceased), Anthony (deceased), Anna Zingalis (deceased), Josephine Pease, Pearl Gaspar (deceased), John, and Helen Vanderlinden; loving uncle, great-uncle and dear friend of many.  Jim was the proud owner of Jim’s Custom Trim and had a passion for antique cars.  He was loved and will be greatly missed. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bartholomew Church, 14865 E. Bagley Rd., Middleburg Heights, Friday, June 7, 2024 at 10 a.m. Entombment Holy Cross Mausoleum.
